Creatures known as Shokujinki have been secretly living among humans for hundreds of years. Although they may appear human, Shokujinki are able to transform into uncontrollable beasts with gigantic claws and feed on humans to survive. The completely hidden organization, Kifoken, specializes in killing Shokujinki by severing their arms and is the only organization that can prevent the uncontrolled dominance of Shokujinki. Toshihiko Momota, the son of the Kifoken leader, immediately becomes infatuated with a mysterious woman named Yuka Kamitsuki. Their relationship is complicated, as neither is aware of the other's secret, Yuka is a Shokujinki and Toshihiko vows to kill her. As the feelings between them become tense and secrets of the past and present are revealed, who will survive and who will be devoured?
